About the FBFA

The game of FASTPITCH SOFTBALL in the Fredericton area is back!!!  In 2006, the Fredericton Boys Fastpitch Association (FBFA) was founded by a group of former fastpitch softball players, coaches and umpires with the goal of rejuvenating the game of fastpitch softball.  The FBFA is committed to introducing the sport of fastpitch softball to players in a FUN and POSITIVE environment.

The FBFA has experience an amazing increase in participation since our inception.  The program started with 15 players and now, as we celebrate our sixth year, over 150 players are registered.  With this success, the FBFA has been recognized across Canada as a leader in the revival of Fastpitch Softball.

The FBFA is committed to introducing the sport of fastpitch softball to players in a FUN and POSITIVE environment.  The FBFA uses Softball Canada’s Parmalat ‘Learn to Play’ Program.  This is an excellent starting point for children to learn the game of fastpitch softball and begin an active lifestyle.  More information on the program can be found at www.softball.ca.

Our teams play and/or practice 2 nights a week locally and will participate in provincial tournaments as well as the FBFA’s year end jamboree.  Stay tuned for information on upcoming tournaments we will be hosting for the 2010 season – and beyond!
